Crime log: Nov. 27 — Dec. 10

As reported by Northeast Detectives. Does not include homicides, sexual assaults, narcotics offenses or other specific crimes investigated by special police units. All locations listed by block, not by exact address.

2nd Police District

There were 27 robberies reported during the time period, a large increase from last month. Sixteen of the incidents happened on the street, including 7100 Castor Ave. (Nov. 27); 6100 Tyson Ave. (Nov. 28); 5300 Claridge St. (Nov. 29); 2000 St. Vincent St. (Nov. 29); 900 Bridge St. (Dec. 1); 7100 Horrocks St. (Dec. 2); 6700 Rutland St. (Dec. 2); 6800 Kindred St. (Dec. 2); 1200 Alcott St. (Dec. 3); 5500 Miriam Road (Dec. 3); 1100 Englewood St. (Dec. 5); 6400 Akron St. (Dec. 7); 1200 Kerper St. (Dec. 8); 6400 Castor Ave. (Dec. 10); 7200 Castor Ave. (Dec. 4); and 7200 Lynford St. (Dec. 5). Eight took place at businesses located at 700 Adams Ave. (Dec. 1); 7000 Castor Ave. (Dec. 3); 5800 Loretto Ave. (Dec. 8); 900 Levick St. (Dec. 9); 6600 Castor Ave. (Dec. 9); 7200 Rising Sun Ave. (Dec. 2); 6400 Oxford Ave. (Nov. 28); and 6800 Bustleton Ave. (Nov. 28). Two took place at a private residence or apartment house located at 7100 Rutland St. (Dec. 8) and 1600 Napfle Ave. (Dec. 8). One took place at a public school at 5700 Langdon St. (Nov. 28) and one took place at a bank at 7200 Rising Sun Ave. (Dec. 8).

Of the seven reported aggravated assaults, four took place in the street, and three took place at private residences. The street incidents at 900 Sanger St. (Dec. 4), 7600 Central Ave. (Dec. 9) and 1600 Levick St. (Dec. 10) all involved handguns; the incident at 1800 Cottman Ave. (Nov. 27) did not involve any weapons. A domestic incident at 1300 Tyson Ave. (Nov. 27) resulted in the arrest of 67-year-old Anthony Rachuba, and the incident at 1000 Alcott St. (Dec. 6) also resulted in an arrest. There were no arrests made at the incident at 800 Brill St. (Dec. 1).

Eight of the 11 reported burglaries took place at private residences or apartment houses. These were located at 800 Scattergood St. (Nov. 28 and again Nov. 30); 300 E. Cheltenham Ave. (Dec. 10); 1200 Tyson Ave. (Nov. 29); 6400 Dorcas St. (Nov. 29); 5800 Weymouth St. (Dec. 6); and 7900 Barnes St. (twice on Nov. 29). A commercial garage at 6100 Oxford Ave. reported a burglary Nov. 28; a retail building at 1300 Cottman Ave. reported one on Dec. 3; and an office building at 6900 Rising Sun Ave. reported one on Dec. 4.

There were 85 reported thefts in the time period, 39 of which happened at businesses, 35 happened on the street, and 11 happened at private residences or apartment houses. Twenty-one of the thefts were taken from vehicles. In addition, 22 vehicles were reported stolen, and at least 11 of them have been recovered.

7th Police District

There were two robberies reported in the district, both of which took place on the street. An incident at 9900 Bustleton Ave. involving a handgun happened Dec. 2. An incident involving a knife took place at 10900 Bustleton Ave. on Dec. 5.

An aggravated assault was reported Dec. 1. It took place at a public school located at 10100 Bustleton Ave. It resulted in a single arrest.

Three burglaries took place during the time period. Two incidents at an apartment house at 9800 Haldeman Ave. (Dec. 6) and 9400 Evans St. (Nov. 28) did not involve force. Force was involved during an incident reported at an office building at 9400 Roosevelt Blvd. (Dec 8.).

There were 30 reported thefts in the time period, including 11 that happened on the street and 10 that happened at businesses. In addition, there were three reported stolen vehicles, all of which were recovered.

8th Police District

Three robberies were reported in the time period. Two happened at chain stores located at 9100 Roosevelt Blvd. (Dec. 4), which involved a handgun, and 1455 Franklin Mills (Dec. 3). One instance took place on the street at 9400 Ashton Road (Dec. 9).

Of the four aggravated assaults, one took place at an apartment house at 2700 Rhawn St. (Dec. 9) and resulted in an arrest. Two took place on the street, one at 1300 Stewards Way (Dec. 10) that involved a handgun, and one at the intersection of Chalfont and Waldemire drives (Dec. 3). One instance involving a knife took place at a prison facility at 8300 State Road on Nov. 30.

Seven of the nine reported burglaries took place at private residences or apartment houses. These happened at 3200 Stanwood St. (Dec. 3); 4200 Rhawn St. (Nov. 28); 4500 Rhawn St. (Dec. 3); 3100 Grant Ave. (Dec. 5); 12000 Knights Road (Nov. 27); 9200 Hegerman St. (Dec. 8); and 3700 President St. (Dec. 6). An auto parts store at 8700 Frankford Ave. reported a burglary involving force Dec. 8, and a gas station at 12000 Knights Road reported a burglary involving force Nov. 29.

Twenty-three of the 47 reported thefts took place on the street, 23 took place in businesses, and one happened in a parking lot or garage. Fifteen of the robberies were from vehicles. In addition, there were eight stolen vehicles reported, seven of which have been recovered.

15th Police District

There were 32 reported robberies in the time period that resulted in 10 arrests. Eighteen of them happened on the street, six at businesses and four at private residences or apartment houses. One took place at an office building (5200 Torresdale Ave., Dec. 7), one at a transportation center (5200 Frankford Ave., Dec. 3), one at a bank (7300 Frankford Ave., Dec. 6) and one at a location at 4600 Ditman St.

Of the 17 aggravated assaults, eight happened at private residences or apartment houses, seven happened on the street, one happened at a college at 7900 State Road and one on SEPTA property at 5200 Frankford Ave. Four arrests were made amongst all the reported incidents.

Sixteen of the 19 burglaries reported in the time period took place at private residences or apartment houses. Two took place at gas stations; one at 5000 Torresdale Ave. (Nov. 29) and one at 4200 Penn St. (Nov. 28), which resulted in two arrests.

There were 94 reported thefts in the area, 63 of which happened on the street and 20 of which happened at businesses. Twenty-eight of the thefts were stolen from vehicles. In addition, there were 45 vehicles reported stolen, 34 of which were recovered. ••
