New Year’s Eve parties at RiverRink

Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest, 101 S. Columbus Blvd. (at Market Street), will host its New Year’s Eve Parties on Ice on Sunday, Dec. 31.

The parties at the rink are from 5 to 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets cost $30 and include light refreshments, music, face painting, party favors, alcohol for sale and views of fireworks at 6 p.m. and midnight.

Primerano to perform on New Year’s Eve

Singer-pianist/entertainer John Primerano will perform on Sunday, Dec. 31, at 9 p.m. at Moonstruck Restaurant, 7955 Oxford Ave. in Fox Chase.

Dinner reservations will be taken from 5 to 10 p.m.

There will be a complimentary champagne toast and party favors at midnight.

Half-price clothing sale begins Jan. 2

Temple Menorah Keneseth Chai’s Classroom Thrift Shop, 4301 Tyson Ave., will hold a half-price clothing sale next month.

The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Jan. 2–5 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 7. Call 215–624–9600. ••

Bereavement support group starting

Northeast NORC and Congregations of Shaare Shamayim are coordinating a new bereavement support group for widows and widowers, 60 and older.

The group, sponsored by Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s-Raphael Sacks, will meet for 12 weeks.

Rivka Powers will be the counselor.

The group will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays at Shaare Shamayim and Tuesdays at the Northeast Older Adult Center.

New Year’s Eve and Day at Maternity BVM

Maternity BVM Catholic Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave., will celebrate Mass on New Year’s Eve, Sunday, Dec. 31, at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m.

The vigil, Feast Day, Solemnity of Mary, will take place at 4 p.m.

On Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, the Mass schedule is 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Philly Orchestra offering holiday program

Conductor Stephane Deneve will lead the Philadelphia Orchestra in pieces from around the world on Sunday, Dec. 31, at 7:30 p.m. at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Broad and Spruce streets.

Tickets range from $35 to $135.
