Police arrested a woman in relation to the fatal accident Dec. 13 that has now claimed a second victim.
Police say they have made an arrest in response to the Dec. 13 fatal hit-and-run that took place at the intersection of Disston Street and Torresdale Avenue.
Agnes Cappello, 30, of the 2300 block of Ripley Street, was arrested and charged with homicide by vehicle and related offenses.
Cappello allegedly struck a car that had three passengers in it, sending it crashing through the fence of a private property and ejecting a man from the back seat, instantly killing him.
The driver of the struck vehicle, a 31-year-old white male, was taken to Aria-Jefferson Hospital along with a female passenger. He died Dec. 21 after originally being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
After crashing into the first vehicle, Cappello allegedly tried to flee the scene, crashing into a legally parked car. She and a passenger then left the scene on foot. ••
