Suspect sought in 7-Eleven robbery

The man forced an employee to open the cash register at the 7901 Frankford Ave. convenience store.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed the 7-Eleven at 7901 Frankford Ave. on Jan. 5.

Surveillance video captured the man clad in a black mask, red jacket and navy blue jeans said to be in his 40s entering the store at 5:17 a.m. He approached an employee, 46, and demanded money from the cash register, saying he was armed with a handgun.

The video shows the man walking behind the desk and attempting to open the register before the employee complies.

The suspect took an unknown amount of money and fled.

Police describe him as a black male standing 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 200 pounds. Anyone with information should contact Northeast Detectives at 215–686–3153. ••
