Police are looking for a man who threatened an employee and stole money from the cash register.
Police have released a video showing a man threatening an employee with a gun and taking money from a cash register at a local store.
On Jan. 16, the suspect entered the Payless Shoe Store on the 6400 block of Sackett Street around 3:26 p.m. and announced a robbery.
Police say he lifted his shirt to reveal he was armed with a handgun to a 56-year-old female employee. He forced her to open the cash register and claimed an unknown amount of money, then fled toward Levick Street. He was seen earlier that day eating at a diner at 6300 Frankford Ave.
Police describe him as a white male in his 40s standing 5 feet 7 and weighing 150 to 160 pounds. He has blue eyes and was unshaven. He was wearing a dark green sweatshirt with the hood up and navy blue sweatpants.
