The man robbed four Philadelphia banks since 2014, including one on Frankford Avenue.
The FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the armed serial bank robber responsible for targeting four Republic Bank branches in Philadelphia from 2014 to 2017.
The man is being sought for the following robberies of Republic Bank branches:
• Aug. 17, 2014, 7300 Frankford Ave.;
• July 15, 2015, 1818 Market St.;
• Aug. 29, 2017, 1601 Walnut St.;
• Nov. 27, 2017, 833 Chestnut St.
The suspect is black, about 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with an average build, eyeglasses and a full black beard. He used a black handgun or guns in the 2014 and 2015 robberies, and a silver semi-automatic handgun in the 2017 robberies.
The man is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about these armed robberies or the suspect is urged to call the task force at 215–418–4000.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the suspect’s capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
