The Northeast Times would like to congratulate the following college graduates, students who were named to their school’s dean’s list, and area residents who recently received special honors.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 475 students. The following local students were awarded degrees: Tyler Xavier Thorpe (degree in communication studies), Shodiyakhon Toshkhujaeva (political science, Magna Cum Laude) and Jacquelyn Marie Valori (communication design, Summa Cum Laude).

Priscilla Kumah is a member of the Class of 2021 and is majoring in business administration at Marist College (New York).

Hofstra University congratulates local students named to the dean’s list for their outstanding academic achievement. Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 to make the dean’s list. The following area students were named to the dean’s list: Kimberly Donahue, Nicolette Michalowski, Jacinth Nurse and Jada Rawlinson-Carter.

Paige Theresa Wendling has been named to the dean’s list at James Madison University. Students who earn dean’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Wendling is majoring in communication sciences and disorders.

A total of 12,594 students at the University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0. Kaitlin Buck made the dean’s list, while Emma Brown made the president’s list.

Wilkes University Provost Anne Skleder announced that Shayna Fehrle made the dean’s list.

Benjamin Rusiloski, Delaware Valley University’s vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, announced the following students have been honored for academic achievement by being named to the dean’s list: Christine Buhalo, James Baldere, Kerry Banford, Alexandria Harrison, Kayla Maylie, Ryan Frech, Ashley Foley and Jillian Chiodo.

More than 1,400 students were named to the dean’s list at York College. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. Local members of the dean’s list are Kylee Fisher, a sophomore business analytics major; Jeanette Gonzalez, a sophomore literary and textual studies major; Jason Porter, a senior computer science major; and Sarah Weber, a sophomore nursing major.

More than 1,725 students were named to the dean’s list at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

Here are the local members of the dean’s list: Christina Bhatti, Shannon Elyse Boyle, Alyssa Brophy, Allison Fanning, Nyairah Flowers, Kylie Guinan, Kiyon Zahmir Hardy, Ashleigh Hughes, Tamara A. Reynolds, Caterina Tallarico, Tyler Xavier Thorpe, Jacquelyn Marie Valori and Ashley Watts.

Carly McGee, a communication major, has made the president’s list at Coastal Carolina University. To qualify for the president’s list for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

Jazmin Ortiz has been named to the Siena College dean’s list. To be named to the dean’s list, a student’s grade point average must be between 3.5 and 3.89. ••
