One civilian was reported dead. Action News reported the victim as a 70-year-old woman trapped on the second floor of the home.

Two firefighters were injured in the incident and are in stable condition at the hospital. Firefighters got control of the fire at 7:49 p.m.

The next night, firefighters were called out to the 7200 block of Large Street in Castor Gardens for another fire. They arrived on the scene just after 5:30 p.m. They found heavy smoke coming from the second floor of a rowhome. The battle was over in less than 10 minutes. No injuries have been reported.
