Man buys TVs, appliances with fraudulent checks

Police are looking for a man who made three large appliance purchases with fraudulent checks.

Police are looking for a man who used fraudulent checks to make three large purchases within a week of each other.

On Jan. 17, the unknown black male entered Robert Stevens Appliances at 7119 Rising Sun Ave. and made a large purchase with a fraudulent check.

He repeated the crime on Jan. 20, when he entered Gerhard’s Appliances at 9475 Roosevelt Blvd. and purchased televisions and other appliances.

On Jan. 22, he returned to Gerhard’s and committed the same crime.
