Quite a kick: On Saturday, Amerikick Martial Arts, 8025 Roosevelt Blvd., hosted its annual kick-a-thon to raise money for Shriners Hospital for Children. Each year, Sensei Mark and Alicia Gallagher encourage students to raise $10,000. This year, the approximately 150 students kicked that goal to the curb, raising $13,400. Kids also collectively performed 1,000 kicks in honor of those who are not physically capable.
