The Northeast Times highlights two local animals looking for their forever homes.
Hamilton is a sweet older guy with a frosty muzzle who’d love to spend his golden years with you. He’s on the skinny side with some hair loss. He is a little hand shy at first but warms up quickly.
The dog is at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A38718634.
Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••
Jacqueline was found on the lonely city streets after she was left behind when her family moved and didn’t take her with them. She is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue
She does not like other cats, but can get along with others if they do not bother her, though she will not be a buddy to another cat. She prefers the company and attention of people. She does get along with the two large dogs she lives with and has never had a problem with them. She would not do well with younger children if they are boisterous or noisy.
Jacqueline, 5, is spayed and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.
