The man entered the BB&T Bank at 6633 Roosevelt Blvd and presented a threatening note.
The FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the man responsible for the Aug. 1 robbery of the BB&T Bank branch at 6633 Roosevelt Blvd.
At about 2:20 p.m., the man entered the bank, approached the counter and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area of the bank and was last seen heading east on Unruh Avenue.
The man is described as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 10 to 6 feet tall, with a medium build.
The suspect may have a scar on his left cheek. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black and white baseball cap with the NFL logo and black sunglasses.
This man is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or the suspect is urged to call the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215–418–4000.
A reward is being offered for information leading to the man’s capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
