The Northeast Times would like to congratulate the following college graduates, students who were named to their school’s dean’s list, and area residents who recently received special honors.
Gabriella Bryce and Gabriel Richman qualified for the dean’s list at Seton Hall University.
The University of Alabama awarded more than 5,400 degrees. Among the recipients were Kaitlin Buck (commerce business administration) and Kyleah Konen (chemical engineering).
Nicholas Moore earned a doctor of psychology in clinical psychology through Widener University’s School of Human Service Professions.
Efua Christian graduated from Purchase College (New York) with a degree in biology. The ceremony honored the contributions of two alumni. Actor Jay O. Sanders ’76 and New York Assemblywoman Latrice Walker ’01 received the President’s Award for Distinguished Alumni.
Hope McQuoid, a first-year student at Elizabethtown College, has been awarded a Stamps Scholarship. McQuoid is a psychology major. She is one of five exceptional first-year students selected to receive a scholarship from the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation. This program has been created to recognize students who exemplify leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service and innovation. Recipients of the Stamp Scholarship receive monetary awards, individual mentors and extra opportunities. Those opportunities can include attending retreats, conventions, banquets and lectures.
Kutztown University recently conferred degrees on more than 1,200 students.

Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a “C” and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken.
