Local group hosts information session for senior citizens

In conjunction with National Senior Citizens Day on Aug. 21, Asset Protection IQ — a Philadelphia-based organization that provides free assistance for seniors and emphasizes the importance of protecting their future — hosted a free lunch-and-learn seminar for local residents at the Cottage Green, 9001 Ashton Road.

During the two-hour seminar, Terry Lamplugh, lead asset protection specialist for Asset Protection IQ, guided seniors through simple steps they can take to protect their future.

Lamplugh educated attendees on decoding Medicaid’s five-year look-back; understanding the importance of real estate, legal and financial planning; learning the details of a living will declaration, power of attorney and last will and testament; and reviewing helpful veterans’ benefits. ••
