Police are looking for a man caught on video robbing 7-Eleven locations in Mayfair and Lawncrest.
Philadelphia and Bensalem Township police have released surveillance video of a man robbing three 7-Eleven locations in the Northeast.
The first robbery took place Aug. 20 at the 7-Eleven at 2900 Cottman Ave. The unknown black male entered the store at 2:40 a.m. and pulled a handgun on a 19-year-old employee. The employee demanded he open the register and stole money and several packs of Newport cigarettes before fleeing on Cottman Avenue. The employee was not injured.
On Aug. 23, the man entered the 5800 Rising Sun Ave. 7-Eleven location, using a can to keep the door propped open. He walked behind the counter and pulled a gun on a 60-year-old employee and threatened to shoot if the employee did not open the register. He stole the money and fled on Rising Sun Avenue. No injuries were reported.
The third incident happened Aug. 26 at 1:50 a.m. when the man entered the 7-Eleven at 6622 Rising Sun Ave. He placed a piece of wood in the door frame to prop it open. Again, the suspect walked behind the counter and pulled a gun on the employee, an 18-year-old, and threatened to shoot. The employee complied with his demands to open the register. He stole money and five packs of Newport cigarettes before fleeing down Rising Sun Avenue. The employee was not injured.
