The Northeast Times highlights two local animals looking for their forever homes.
Purrfect pet
Genevieve, along with her three sisters and their mom, was rescued when she was just a few days old. Found living outside, the kittens and their mom were whisked away to a foster home.
Genevieve, 6 months old, is at Northeast Animal Rescue. She is active and outgoing and loves to be petted.
Genevieve is spayed and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses. She needs to be adopted with another kitten or go to a home with an existing kitten.

Full Monte ready to go
Monte is a medium-sized, 2-year-old, happy-go-lucky guy.
He is fine with other dogs and older kids, but does not do well with cats.
The dog loves to play fetch and enjoys getting petted.
He is housetrained and crate-trained and is fine on a leash.
He would thrive in a home with positive reinforcement.
