Free concert at Rhawnhurst church
Nashville-based New Legacy Project will be in concert on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m., at Redemption Lutheran Church, 8001 Bustleton Ave. in Rhawnhurst.
The group was formerly known as the Blackwood Legacy Quartet and tours about 180 dates per year, coast to coast.

Brews at Burholme on Saturday
Burholme Park Golf Center and Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company will host Brews at Burholme on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. at the golf center, 401 Cottman Ave.

Kensington High School alumni luncheon

Free shredding event to be held Saturday
State Rep. Tom Murt and the Lower Moreland Police Benevolent Association will hold a shredding and electronics recycling event on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the St. Albert the Great Parish parking lot, 212 Welsh Road in Huntingdon Valley.
Electronic devices and small appliances can be recycled. Used cell phones will be donated to Laurel House, a nonprofit dedicated to ending domestic violence.
No televisions or monitors will be accepted.

Learn about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
On Tuesday, Oct. 23, Nazareth Hospital will hold a free event, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, to discuss Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The event will feature two discussions: “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research” and “Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters.”
A guest speaker from the Alzheimer’s Association will provide information on how to detect early signs of Alzheimer’s and how diet and nutrition can affect cognitive health. The event will begin at 3:30 p.m. and take place in Nazareth Hospital’s DiBello Conference Room, located at 2601 Holme Ave. Registration is required. Call 215–335–6100. ••
History tour at All Saints’
All Saints’ History Committee will present a living history tour, Grave Matters, on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Tour times will be 3:30 and 5 p.m.
Members of the History Committee bring the dead to life as they tell their unfortunate stories.
Tickets are $5. Proceeds benefit the historic preservation project in the graveyard. An all-you-can-eat soup dinner will be available from 3 to 6 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $5. A combo ticket for the tour and soup dinner is available for $8.

Remembering the 1983 Beirut bombing
The annual Beirut Memorial Remembrance Day ceremony will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. at Dock Street and Columbus Boulevard, at Penn’s Landing.
The 35th annual memorial will remember the 241 peacekeeping servicemen who died in the bombing of their barracks in 1983. The dead consisted of 220 Marines, 18 sailors and three U.S. Army soldiers.
Among those in attendance will be survivors of the attack and family members of the fallen. There will be a guest speaker, and a bagpiper will play Amazing Grace. ••
Food truck festival on Saturday
PJP Marketplace, a grocery and supply store at Frankford Avenue and Academy Road, will host a food truck festival on Saturday, Oct. 20, from noon to 6 p.m.
Among those in attendance will be Slurp Philly, BrazBQ Creme Brolee, Nick’s Roast Beef, Dagwood’s, Jersey Johnny’s Grill, El Guaco Taco, Chef Puff’s, Palate House, Lil Trent’s, Roasted Liberties, Balls Gone Wild and Awesome Little Cupcakes.
PJP Marketplace will be selling $1 Bud and Bud Light bottles and $2 seasonal autumn brews.
The event will feature a costume contest and trunk or treat car-decorating contest, with prizes including a $75 PJP gift card. The store is also holding a 50/50 raffle to benefit Feast of Justice. The festival will include a complimentary bounce house for children. The event is being held rain or shine. ••
Talent show coming to St. Cecilia
St. Cecilia Parish will hold St. Cecilia’s Got Talent on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the school hall, 535 Rhawn St.

Nature and history walk on Sunday
Friends of Pennypack Park will hold its monthly nature and history walk on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m.
Participants will meet at the parking lot at the playground at Verree and Susquehanna roads.
The walk will follow mostly rough trails to view spring house ruins, outstanding rock formations, an ancient stone bridge and some of the park’s older forest areas.
The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 28.

Discounts available for Glen Foerd show
Glen Foerd on the Delaware has teamed with Elkins Park-based improv theater troupe Bright Invention to bring the classic mystery game Clue to life.
Glen Foerd, 5001 Grant Ave., will host four interactive performances of Room with a Clue. The show is for all ages. Guests will search the mansion and question characters for the information they need to make an accusation and solve the murder.
There will be music and a cash bar.
Performances will be held at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21 and 28.

Volunteer to feed the hungry
The deadline is Saturday, Oct. 20, to volunteer to package meals for a partnership between Jenkintown’s Grace Presbyterian Church and Rise Against Hunger, a global relief agency.
The goal is to package 50,000 meals that will be distributed free to hungry people around the world.
Church organizers are seeking 150 volunteers to donate two hours of their time on Sunday, Nov. 4, to package the meals. Volunteers age 4 and older are welcome. People of all faiths are welcome.

Firefighters 5K on Saturday
The 44th annual Firefighters Memorial 5K Run will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Pennypack Park entrance at 8500 Pine Road. The event will take place rain or shine. The cost is $35.

Donate Halloween candy
Doc Bresler’s Cavity Busters is holding its annual post-Halloween Candy Buy Back Program.
Doc Bresler’s pays people $1 for each pound of candy (up to five pounds). The office then matches that dollar amount and donates the money to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the Temple Dental Haiti Club, which provides financial assistance to the impoverished Haitian population, who are in desperate need of oral health and dental care.
All collected candy is sent to first responders and Operation Gratitude, an organization that sends care packages to the men and women serving in the U.S. armed forces.
Donations can be made on Thursday, Nov. 1, from noon to 6 p.m. at 240 Geiger Road.
