Bagged leaf drop-off will be continued Saturdays through Dec. 15 and mechanical leaf collection will follow a designated weekly schedule.
City Councilman Brian O’Neill announced that the city Department of Streets’ fall leaf collection and recycling program began on Monday and will continue through Dec. 15.
Bagged leaf drop-off will be offered on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., except for the Saturday following Thanksgiving. Bagged leaves to be recycled at the specified drop-off locations will be accepted only in biodegradable paper bags. Otherwise, bagged leaves set out at the curb will be collected as trash.
Mechanical leaf collection will also be offered on a designated weekly schedule in areas with a heavy concentration of leaves.
