KleinLife hosts veterans salute

KleinLife, 10100 Jamison Ave., last week hosted a salute to area veterans and veterans organizations. The program included the presentation of the colors by the Frankford High School Honor Guard, the Pledge of Allegiance, the singing of the national anthem and God Bless America and sounding of Taps.

Some 150 area veterans and their family members were in attendance. Pictured at the event are (seated, from left) Martin Cutler, 100, a veteran of World War II; and Mitchell Feinberg, 85, who fought in the Korean conflict; (back row, from left) Shelley Geltzer, KleinLife program director of active adult life; Sue Aistrop, director of senior services at the center; and Robert Alan Katz, a lifetime member of the West Point Society, who spoke about Jews in the U.S. military from colonial to modern times.
