Police are searching for a group of suspects who abducted and robbed a man at gunpoint in September outside his home in Tacony.

The 21-year-old victim was ambushed as he was entering his vehicle Sept. 14 on the 6700 block of Ditman Street. Several people approached him — at least one with a handgun — and grabbed him before pushing him into a vehicle parked nearby, police said.

The suspects covered the man’s head and bound his hands before searching his backpack, taking his wallet and demanding his PIN number. Two of the suspects, one man and one woman, then used the victim’s debit card at the Wawa store on the 7700 block of Frankford Avenue, according to police.

Police ask anyone with information on the suspects or the crime to contact the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3261/3266. ••
