Officers from the 15th Police District responded to a triple shooting scene in Frankford that left three people dead Thursday night, police said.
The shooting happened inside a home on the 5100 block of Saul Street. Officers located a man they say was the shooter, Chris Young, 31, of the 5100 block of Akron Street, outside on the highway suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest. Police say he had a handgun in his right hand, and found powdered cocaine and money near him.
Young was transported to Temple Hospital and pronounced dead on Friday, Dec. 7, at 4:17 a.m.
Officers discovered two men inside the property on Saul St. Juan Rodriguez, 30, of the 4200 block of Stirling Street, suffered from a gunshot wound to the upper left chest and was pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m. Officers located Terrance Gaddy, 31, in the second-floor bathroom with a gunshot wound to the center of his chest. He was pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m. Officers say there was a semiautomatic weapon under his body, and that the property was Gaddy’s residence.
Capt. John Ryan said he believes there was a drug deal set up, and Young entered the residence with the intent to commit a robbery.
Two women and Gaddy’s 13-year-old son were in the house, Ryan said. The 13-year-old was the one who called 911.
There was also another male in the house whom officers are talking to, and a 2-year-old who was upstairs with her mother. ••
