The fourth annual Roxanne’s Run took place on Sunday afternoon at Michael Crescenz VFW Post 2819, in Lawndale. The event is organized by Roxanna Gambino Schroeder and the HellRaisers Motorcycle Club. The day included food, face painting and gifts for each child. The 2nd Police District arranged a blue-suited Santa Claus to pose for pictures with kids. The HellRaisers and their wrapped gifts arrived thanks to an escort from the Engine 64 fire truck and the 8th Police District.
The escort began at The Ryan Pub, 3234 Red Lion Road. Other motorcycle groups that took part included the Red Scorpions, Knights of the Inferno, Fire & Iron, Warriors’ Watch and Philly X-treme. Donors included Mission BBQ, Chick-fil-A, Rising Sun Pizza, Chuck’s Alibi, Chase’s Hop Shop and Pronto Pizza. ••
