Two people shot in Torresdale home invasion

Masked men shot two people early Sunday morning during a home invasion on the 9400 block of Torresdale Avenue, police said.

Two people were shot during a home invasion in the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 23, in Torresdale, according to police.

A pair of masked men entered through the back door of a house on the 9400 block of Torresdale Avenue around 4 a.m., authorities said. They shot a 39-year-old man once in the back and a 37-year-old woman in the right leg, according to police.

Both victims were transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition, police said.

NBC10 reported that a 2-year-old child was in the house at the time of the shooting.

The masked men stole a safe containing cash and jewelry, authorities said. They also stole a silver pickup truck before fleeing the scene.

Police did not report any arrests Monday morning, and no weapons were recovered at the home. ••
