Crime Log: Dec. 24-Jan. 6

As reported by Northeast Detectives. Does not include homicides, sexual assaults, narcotics offenses or other specific crimes investigated by special police units. All locations listed by block, not by exact address.

2nd Police District

There were seven robberies, two of which resulted in arrests. George Jenkins, 36, and George Jordan, 36, were arrested Jan. 6 following a purse snatching on the street at 6700 Bustleton Ave. Tracey Williams, 47, was arrested Dec. 29 following a robbery at a department store at 2300 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 29). Other robberies took place on the street, happening at 6500 Summerdale Ave. (Dec. 30), the intersection of Unruh Avenue and Oakland Street (Dec. 27), 6000 Summerdale Ave. (Dec. 27) and 5200 F St. (Jan. 4). A private residence at 1600 Robbins St. was robbed Dec. 30.

There were 12 aggravated assaults. Brittany DuBose, 26, was arrested Dec. 29 following a domestic assault at a private residence at 5900 Bingham St. Other assaults at private residences took place at 500 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 27), 6300 Martins Mill Road (Jan. 1) and 800 Rhawn St. (Jan. 3). Jamiel Williams, 42, was arrested Dec. 27 following an assault on police at a private residence at 6200 Souder St. William McKinney, 46, was arrested following an assault on the street at 1100 Passmore St. Dec. 25 involving a handgun. Other assaults on the street involving handguns took place at the intersection of Bleigh Avenue and Bingham Street (Jan. 3), 700 Adams Ave. (Jan. 3) and 1400 McKinley St. (Dec. 29). An incident on the street involving a knife took place at 5500 Hill Creek Park on Dec. 27. An assault at a restaurant at 6600 Castor Ave. took place Dec. 26, and an assault at a food store at 5600 Rising Sun Ave. took place Jan. 2.

There were 10 burglaries, many of which took place at private residences or apartment houses. Robert Schulz, 41, was arrested Jan. 4 following a burglary at a private residence at 1100 Napfle Ave. Other burglaries at private residences took place at 1400 Creston St. (Dec. 25), 800 Foulkrod St. (Jan. 6), 1200 McKinley St. (Dec. 27), 7100 Rutland St. (Dec. 28) and an apartment house at 2500 Shelmire Ave. (Jan. 4). Other burglaries took place at a cleaner/laundromat at 6700 Rising Sun Ave. on Dec. 25 and a video store at 7200 Oxford Ave. on Jan. 25. A storage facility at 4600 Roosevelt Blvd. was burglarized twice, on Dec. 25 and Dec. 30.

There were 66 thefts, which targeted 32 vehicles (including two stolen vehicle tags), 19 businesses, six street thefts, three private residences, three times at a Pennsylvania state building, a doctor’s office and two unspecified locations. Five arrests were made. In addition, 13 vehicles were stolen, 10 of which have been recovered. Two arrests were made.

7th Police District

There were five robberies, three of which involved the same culprit. Tamir Mitchell, 19, was arrested following robberies at 2300 Tremont St. (Dec. 25), 10400 Roosevelt Blvd. (Dec. 25) and 10100 Northeast Blvd. (Dec. 27). All three of those incidents involved a handgun. Other robberies took place at a food store at 13000 Bustleton Ave. (Dec. 25) and a private residence at 1800 Arnold St. (Dec. 26), both of which involved handguns.

There were five aggravated assaults that resulted in two arrests. Glenraya Mickens, 25, was arrested Dec. 27 following an assault involving a knife at an apartment house at 700 Rhawn St. Vitali Bukouski, 52, was arrested Jan. 1 following an assault at an apartment house at 100 Byberry Road. Other assaults took place on the street at 9800 Clark St. on Jan. 5, which involved a handgun, 1400 Southampton Road on Dec. 29, which involved a knife, and 13000 Kelvin Ave. on Jan. 2, which involved a weapon.

The only burglary took place at an apartment house at 2100 Grant Ave. on Jan. 1.

There were 25 thefts, which targeted 19 vehicles (including two stolen car phones), three businesses, two street thefts and an apartment house. In addition, five vehicles were reported stolen, three of which have been recovered.

8th Police District

There were five robberies. Two took place on the street and involved handguns, happening at 8700 Glenloch St. (Dec. 24) and the intersection of Grant Avenue and Academy Road (Jan. 3). Others took place at a drugstore at 8800 Frankford Ave. on Dec. 31, which involved a handgun, and a mini market at 2900 Welsh Road on Dec. 28. Another robbery took place at an unspecified location at 9700 Roosevelt Blvd. on Jan. 2.

There were eight aggravated assaults, which resulted in three arrests. Domestic assaults took place at private residences at 3700 Morrell Ave. (Jan. 1), 2800 Nestling Road (Dec. 30) and 3100 Willits Road (Dec. 25), the latter of which resulted in the arrest of Joseph Pienkowski, 55. George Deussing, 38, was arrested Dec. 27 following an assault involving a knife at an apartment house at 4300 Rhawn St. Mayra Escalera, 49, was arrested Jan. 3 following an assault on the street at 8500 Frankford Ave. Other assaults took place at a department store at 4300 Byberry Road on Dec. 24, which involved a knife, a bar/cafe at 9200 N. Delaware Ave. on Dec. 31, and on the street of 9200 Delaware Ave. on Jan. 1.

The only burglary took place Dec. 31 at a hardware store at 8700 Frankford Ave.

There were 54 thefts, which targeted 31 vehicles (including three stolen car phones and four stolen vehicle tags), 14 businesses, three street thefts, a bicycle, an apartment house, a pool hall, a hospital, a nursing home and an unspecified location. Four arrests were made. In addition, five vehicles were reported stolen, all of which have been recovered, and two other attempts to steal cars were made.

15th Police District

There were 16 robberies, most of which took place on the street. Samuel Tomoney, 46, was arrested Jan. 5 following a robbery on the street at 4800 Rosalie St. Robberies on the street involving handguns took place at 7100 Ditman St. (Dec. 26), 4600 Vista St. (Dec. 30) and 1500 Foulkrod St. (Jan. 1). Robberies on the street that did not involve weapons took place at the intersection of Arrott and Penn streets (Dec. 26), the intersection of Torresdale Avenue and Wellington Street (Dec. 27), the intersection of Bridge and Darrah streets (Dec. 29), 4600 Richmond St. (Dec. 29), 6100 Bustleton Ave. (Jan. 3), 7100 Walker St. (Jan. 3), the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Church Street (Jan. 4), 4400 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 5), the intersection of Horrocks and Foulkrod streets (Dec. 24) and 4500 Vista St. (Dec. 31). A private residence at 4300 E. Wingohocking St. was robbed with a handgun Dec. 30, and a robbery involving a handgun took place at an unspecified location at 5500 Harbison Ave. Jan. 2.

There were 22 aggravated assaults, which resulted in five arrests. Assaults that took place on the street and involved handguns or shotguns took place at 6200 Erdrick St. (Dec. 24), twice at 5500 Torresdale Ave. (Dec. 24 and 25), 2900 Benner St. (Dec. 27, Ousmane Kone, 39), 1400 Howell St. (Jan. 6), 7000 Hegerman St. (Jan. 6) and twice at 6900 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 30). Assaults that took place on the street involving knives happened at 4300 Disston St. (Dec. 24, Mikhail Terrioschin, 25), 4700 Vista St. (Jan. 1, Chardonee L. Lee, 31) and 6500 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 5), and an assault that involved another weapon took place at 4600 Ditman St. (Dec. 28). Domestic assaults on the street happened at 1400 Howell St. (Jan. 5), 6900 Hegerman St. (Jan. 6) and the intersection at Bridge and Lesher streets (Jan. 2). An assault involving no weapons took place on the street at 7500 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 28, Christian Pike, 20). Domestic assaults at private residences took place at 6300 Calvert St. (Dec. 24, Omar Brown, 37), 1500 Alcott St. (Jan. 3) and 1400 Rosalie St. (Dec. 30), and at an apartment house at 5700 Frankford Ave (Jan. 2). Assaults involving weapons at private residences took place twice at 5500 Harbison Ave. on Jan. 3. 

There were 17 burglaries, most of which targeted private residences. Isaiah Young, 28, was arrested Jan. 2 following a burglary at a private residence at 1600 Allengrove St. Other burglaries at private residences and apartment houses took place at 4700 Leiper St. (Jan. 5), 2100 Kennedy St. (Jan. 6), 4600 Adams Ave. (Dec. 31), 1300 Arrott St. (Dec. 24), 7000 Torresdale Ave. (Dec. 26), 5800 Saul St. (Dec. 30), 4800 Alcott St. (Jan. 2), 4500 Van Kirk St. (Jan. 4), 1600 Bridge St. (Jan. 2), 6400 Ditman St. (Jan. 2) and 5700 Charles (Jan. 5), as well as an attempt at 5000 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 27). Other burglaries took place at a bar/cafe at 2200 Bridge St. (Dec. 26), a day care facility at 1300 Sellers St. (Dec. 25), a retail location at 2800 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 27) and an unspecified location at 4300 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 5). 

There were 82 thefts, which targeted 38 vehicles (including a stolen car phone and 10 stolen vehicle tags), 20 businesses, 13 street thefts, eight private residences, a bicycle and two unspecified locations. Eight arrests were made. In addition, 43 vehicles were reported stolen, 30 of which have been recovered. Two arrests were made. ••
