More than 50 Lehigh University students attended the school’s annual leadership program. LeaderShape is a six-day experience that focuses participants on exploring identity development and inclusive leadership. The institute challenges participants to create a vision grounded in their deepest values. Students have the opportunity to learn about who they are, what they want to do and who they want to be by engaging in dialogue and self-discovery, ultimately preparing them for future leadership roles. Local participants were Tasnim Chowdhury, Nathaly Rodriguez and Era Shuaipi.

Widener University Delaware Law School Dean Rodney A. Smolla announced dean’s list students. Students named to the list earned a grade point average in the top 20 percent of their class and division for the semester. They include Charles Hoyt and Sean Simon.

More than 1,500 students were named to the dean’s list at York College. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. Local members of the dean’s list are Kylee Fisher (junior business analytics major), Jeanette Gonzalez (junior, literary & textual studies), Breanne Olsen (senior, early elementary/special education), Sarah Weber (junior, nursing) and Mackenzie Wolstenholme (sophomore, forensic chemistry).

Alyssa Denofa has been named to the fall 2018 president’s list at Mansfield University. To be named to the president’s list, a student must attend the university full time and attain at least a 4.0 QPA for the semester.

Bucknell University has released the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition. Local members of the dean’s list are Dayane Da Silva (class of 2019) and Barb Thiel (class of 2020).

Anna Savchuk, early child-leadership major, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at Northampton Community College.

Stas Postowski was among the 16 current Maguire Scholars at the University of Scranton who were celebrated at a gathering on campus recently. Maguire Scholars, selected by their respective institutions, must maintain a GPA above 3.0, be an active participant in school and/or community volunteer extracurricular activities and meet other requirements of the program. Postowski is a junior marketing major at Scranton.

Dean’s list status, which is awarded at Lehigh University to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses, has been granted to David Tapia for the fall 2018 semester.

Michaela Sykes is on the dean’s list at Slippery Rock University for the fall 2018 semester. The dean’s list consists of undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Benjamin Rusiloski, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Delaware Valley University, announced that Jacqueline Fletcher graduated from Delaware Valley University with a degree in counseling psychology).

The BU Players of Bloomsburg University performed Good Kids from Feb. 27 through March 3 at the Alvina Krause Theatre. Donte Abney was on the production crew for the show. ••
