Woodrow Wilson Middle School was placed on lockdown just after 10 a.m. Friday after police said a boy brought three live rounds into the school.

School District of Philadelphia personnel worked with police officers to search the building after the bullets were recovered, according to school district spokesman Lee Whack. He said no weapon was found and no one was hurt.

The lockdown was lifted around 11:30 a.m., Whack said. Police said a juvenile male was taken into custody.

Whack said Friday that the school district was collaborating with staff to communicate with Wilson families about the incident. ••
