The boys are officially back in town.

On Thursday, Harry Mayes and Eytan Shander did a live recording of their podcast Derailed at Parx Casino. It was just a taste of what’s to come.

On Monday, the pair reunite for their debut of their new show on ESPN Radio 97.3, Mayes and Eytan. The show will be live every day on the network based out of Atlantic City weekdays from noon to 2 p.m.

Their show will run before The Sports Bash with Mike Gill, who also serves as the programming director.

“It’s hard to express how thankful I am to Mike Gill for trusting in myself and Harry,” said Shander, who has worked for both sports stations in Philadelphia. “To bring us on and recognize how to use the talent he has on the roster. Mike kept my radio career alive. He’s also a great host on top of programmer. It’s big to have a boss in sports talk who knows who TJ McConnell is and doesn’t want us to jock calls all day.”

His partner feels the same way.

“I’m looking forward to having a blast on a daily basis with the freedom to go off the rails regularly,” Mayes said. “We will be interactive on social media and on the phone lines, but not dependent on either. We are going to do a personality driven show.”

If you like sports talk, the new show will have it. But the pair is looking forward to doing much more, including talk about betting.

That makes Parx a perfect fit.

“We’ll be doing everything, sports gambling to cooking advice,” Shander said. “I think the new show is about our personalities connecting with the fanbase of Philadelphians who define personality. We don’t want anything forced. We don’t want this to be a job or a chore for anyone to listen. We want to bring something completely different to Philadelphia.”
