The Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame is inviting the public to vote for its favorites for the 16th class of inductees.
The Hall of Fame has 214 voting members and considers fan input in making its final decision.
The nominees are Bill Melchionni, Bo Ryan, Bob Rigby, Charlene Morett, Cherie Greer Brown, Donovan McNabb, Earl Strom, Eric Desjardins, Fran Dunphy, Frank Wycheck, Herman Frazier, Jerry Sisemore, Mark Recchi, Matthew Saad Muhammad, Mike Scioscia, Rasheed Wallace, Sue Day Stahl, Tim Witherspoon and Troy Vincent.
Heritage nominees, generally those whose accomplishments were decades ago, are Adele Boyd, Al Cantello, Bertha Townsend, Bill Bradley, Charles Cooper, Clara Schroth-Lomady, Cy Williams, Frank Spellman, Harry Davis, Frank “Home Run” Baker, James Juvenal, Larry Foust, Midget Wolgast, Tony Taylor, Truxton Hare and Vic Sears.
The induction ceremony will be Nov. 7 at SugarHouse Casino.
