More than 1,750 students were named to the dean’s list at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60. A total of 395 members of Albright College’s Class of 2019 earned bachelor and master degrees during a commencement ceremony at Santander Arena in Reading. Local graduates were Marcus Giovannie Vargas, a graduate of Germantown Academy who earned a degree in music industry studies and Spanish, cum laude; Leighann Taylor DeLucca, a graduate of Abraham Lincoln who earned a degree in music industry studies, magna cum laude; and Alyssa M. Kates, a graduate of Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush who earned a degree in psychology, magna cum laude. Jane Golden, founder and executive director of Mural Arts Philadelphia, offered a commencement address after being awarded an honorary degree of humane letters.
