Block Gives Back beautifies Mullin Playground

The Block Gives Back gave a much-needed fresh coat of paint to the Mullin Playground building.

The Block Gives Back on Saturday provided some much-needed TLC to Mullin Playground, at Walker Street and Princeton Avenue in Tacony.

Mike Gibson (third from right), who runs the 6th Man Project, donated basketballs, nets and footballs to the Block Gives Back on Saturday.

Volunteers painted the sad-looking building, benches and basketball backboards and cleared weeds and broken glass. ••

The top photo shows the Mullin Playground building looking worn. It looks a lot better after the Block Gives Back painted it.
