Attorney Marina Kats, of Kats Jamison & Associates, last week received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Legal Intelligencer.
Kats immigrated to the United States from Ukraine at age 17. She earned business administration, law and master of laws in trial advocacy degrees from Temple University.
Former Gov. Tom Ridge once named Kats as one of the “50 Best Business Women in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”
Kats is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C. bar associations. She sits on the board of directors for Einstein Medical Center and the Temple School of Law Alumni. She is involved in real estate and commercial projects, and was the Republican nominee in 2008 in the 13th Congressional District. ••
