Vladimir Begilman received a white coat at the Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine White Coat Ceremony in Harrogate, Tennessee. Begilman, a former Temple student, is a rising third-year osteopathic medical student.

Slippery Rock University announced its dean’s list for the spring semester. The dean’s list consists of students who earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 credits. Area students who made the list are Donte Davenport and Michaela Sykes.

Caitlyn Berdel is one of more than 650 Lebanon Valley College students named to the dean’s list for the spring semester. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. Berdel is pursuing a degree in early childhood education and special education. She is a graduate of St. Hubert Catholic High School.

Ryan Lang was among the 70 University of Scranton students inducted into Upsilon Phi Delta, the national honor society for graduate and undergraduate students in healthcare administration programs. Students must have a minimum overall grade point average of 3.5 for induction. Lang is a graduate student pursuing a health administration major.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its dean’s list. To qualify for the dean’s list at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, completing at least 15 credits. Local members of the dean’s list are Bridget Carolan and Kristen Doyle.

A total of 164 Bloomsburg University student-athletes were recognized as Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2018-19 academic year. To earn PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition, each student-athlete must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.25 throughout the year.
