Block Gives Back hosts book bag giveaway

The Block Gives Back on Sunday hosted its annual Block 2 School book bag giveaway. Cosponsored by Limelight Highlight, the giveaways took place at Hair Wizards Barbershop locations at 6654 Frankford Ave. and 1801 Cottman Ave. The shop gave free haircuts to kids 12 and under. The Block gave out 250 book bags, and the Pennsylvania National Guard handed out bags and brought football toss and pop-a-shot basketball games. The day included pizza, water ice, drinks, chips, face painting and music.
