PennDOT announced that Conrail is planning to close State Road at Bleigh Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 21, and Saturday, Sept. 28, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for rail maintenance.
During the closure, State Road motorists will be directed to use Cottman Avenue, Torresdale Avenue and Rhawn Street. Bleigh Avenue motorists southeast of Wissinoming Street will be directed to use Milnor Street and Princeton Avenue. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. ••
