Yasmeen Daraz and other members of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s MD Class of 2020 participated in the second Stanley Conklin Research Day, an event that will be held annually. The purpose of the event is to showcase resident and student research and quality-improvement projects. Daraz, studying at Geisinger’s campus in Bradford County, presented a research poster entitled Implementation of Frailty Screening Tool for Hip Fracture.

Melanie Lynn Warne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communications as Susquehanna University closed its 161st academic year with commencement exercises.

Kevin William Charyszyn, a business studies major, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Clarkson University, in Potsdam, New York. Dean’s list students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Elizabethtown College named its dean’s list.
