Halloween fun at Whitman Square

More than 3,000 youth and parents turned out last week for Whitman Square’s annual “Trunk or Treat Spooktacular,” hosted by The Goldenberg Group, the 8th Police District and Chick-Fil-A.

Kids donned their favorite costumes and paraded around Whitman Square’s parking lot to enjoy more than 20 “tricked-out trunks” filled with candy and other treats.

The trunks were decorated and sponsored by shopping center tenants, the 7th and 8th police districts, civic organizations, local elected officials and neighborhood businesses.
