State Reps. Kevin Boyle and Joe Hohenstein have endorsed Democrat Judy Moore in the 10th Councilmanic District race.
“Judy is a woman who had it rough growing up in NE Philly,” Boyle said. “But with hard work and perseverance, she rose above her circumstances to provide a better life for her children. Now she’s a leader in her community, inspiring other young girls to do the same. If anyone can get the NE back on track, it’s Judy Moore.”
Hohenstein added, “What’s most important to me is Judy’s commitment to education. She knows how important it is that all of NE Philly’s families have access to a safe, quality learning environment, and she is willing to fight to make sure that happens.”
Moore was also backed by Teamsters Local 115.
Earlier, she was endorsed by the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers; Keystone Mountain Lakes Regional Council of Carpenters; Firefighters’ & Paramedics’ Local 22; SEIU– 1199C and 32BJ; UFCW 1776; AFSCME DC 47; Plumbers Local 690; Boilermakers Local 13; Transport Workers Local 234; and Communications Workers Local 13000.
Moore, of Normandy, is challenging Republican Councilman Brian O’Neill. ••
