History meeting to be held Wednesday night

Free concert Friday at KleinLife

Singer Irina Fogelson will perform live in concert in the theater at KleinLife, 10100 Jamison Ave., on Friday, Jan. 10, beginning at 12:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

Archbishop Ryan lacrosse hosting Quizzo

The Archbishop Ryan lacrosse team will sponsor a Quizzo Night on Friday, Feb. 21, in the south cafeteria, 11201 Academy Road.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Quizzo begins at 7:30.

Tickets cost $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tables of eight or more can be reserved.

The evening will include BYOB/snacks, 50/50, raffle baskets, extra cash round, cash prize and mulligans.

St. William anniversary Mass

St. William Catholic Church will host its 100th anniversary Mass on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 11:30 a.m. in the upper church, 6200 Rising Sun Ave.

Archbishop Charles Chaput will celebrate the Mass.

The Mass will be transmitted to the lower church at the same time for those with mobility issues and the overflow of participants.

Bagels, danish, juice, coffee and other refreshments will follow in Monsignor James E. Mortimer Memorial Hall.

Performance on lady justices

Trish Chambers will portray Women Justices of the Supreme Court for members and guests of KleinLife, 10100 Jamison Ave., on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Her performance will focus a spotlight on Sandra Day O’Connor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

Holy Redeemer opens NE center

Holy Redeemer Health System has opened Redeemer Healthcare Northeast, an outpatient center at 7390 Bustleton Ave. The 11,000 square-foot facility offers OB/GYN, X-ray, ultrasound, bone density, mammogram and urgent care services. ••

Designer bag bingo at BVM

Comedy show on Feb. 1

A comedy show will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Trifecta Sporting Club, 4668 Bristol Road, in Trevose.

Limb salvage program set

Nazareth Hospital has established its Limb Salvage Program, which is designed to identify and assist at-risk patients sooner, decreasing the likelihood of amputations that may have otherwise been deemed necessary. The program’s goal is to save limbs through restoration of functionality, as the loss of a limb can have a profound effect on a patient’s quality of life.

The Limb Salvage Program at Nazareth brings together specialists who coordinate efforts to ensure patients are screened appropriately and receive the procedures they need more quickly.

Nazareth gets high grade

The Transitional Care Unit at Nazareth Hospital was ranked as a high-performing nursing home in Pennsylvania by U.S. News & World Report in its recently revealed rankings.

The TCU at Nazareth Hospital received an overall rating of 5 out of 5. The 28-bed TCU facility provides care that helps patients prepare to make the transition from an acute/inpatient hospital stay to home.

Just under 3,000 nursing homes in the country earned the designation, which evaluates a nursing home’s quality of post-acute care for patients recovering from a hospital stay, such as after a stroke, heart attack, infection or accidental injury, and patients receiving post-operative care.
