Tacony Academy Charter School recently raised funds for Fox Chase Cancer Center.
The events included a Dance-a-Thon in the gym, with more than 100 students collecting donations from friends and family.
Funds were also raised through multiple dress-down days at both the elementary and high school buildings.
The girls varsity and middle school volleyball teams both held breast cancer awareness games, in which all proceeds went toward fundraising efforts.
Earlier this month, students and staff presented a check for $3,121.02 to Jamie Roche, of Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Tacony Academy Charter School is hoping to continue this event next school year. ••
