Thomas Sr. and Dolores Day, of Faunce Street, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Jan. 26. Tom is retired from the Philadelphia Fire Department after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Fire Department Drill Team, which performs for the Hero Scholarship Fund. He graduated the first class of the original paramedic program, and eventually retired as fireboat station pilot. He is also a recipient of the Medal of Peace from the Korean government for his military service in Korea from 1950-55. Dolores is a retired crossing guard who received the Medal of the Chapel of the Four Chaplains for her work in religious training to the deaf and mentally challenged. ••
Florence Devor celebrated her 100th birthday on Jan. 21. The celebration took place at her residence at Harmony Place Assisted Living, 8420 Roosevelt Blvd. ••
