CLIP will fine illegal dumpers in Holmesburg

The city Community Life Improvement Program will issue $300 tickets to 55 people responsible for the illegal dumping on the 4800 block of Blakiston St. in Holmesburg.

A CLIP crew on Saturday cleaned most of the trash on the ground and will haul away the remaining trash in the trailers.

CLIP will seek police surveillance of the area to prevent future dumping, and will ask the owner of a property on nearby Hegerman Street for camera footage.

An estimated 500 tires were removed from the site. Those tires will be recycled.

CLIP workers found information on 55 businesses and individuals in the trash. Also found in trash bags was information about some Vehicle Identification Numbers and license plate numbers. ••
