Possible human arm discovered in Bustleton

A passerby discovered what's believed to be a partially decomposed arm and hand Monday on Pine Road.

Authorities are investigating after a passerby discovered what appeared to be a partially decomposed human arm on Pine Road in Bustleton.

The grisly find was reported to police just before 8:45 a.m. on the 8800 block of Pine Road, near Pennypack Park and Fox Chase Farm. Investigators believe it is a left arm and hand.

No other body parts were found, and it’s unclear how the remains wound up on the side of the road. The arm was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. ••
