Purim celebration at KleinLife
Fifth-graders from the Perelman Jewish Day School in Melrose Park came to KleinLife, 10100 Jamison Ave., to celebrate the Jewish festival of Purim with a special intergenerational reading of the Megillah from the biblical Book of Esther.
Purim commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, who was planning to kill all the Jews in the Persian empire. ••

Driscoll secures $4,600 for Glen Foerd Conservation Corp.
State Rep. Mike Driscoll announced that the Glen Foerd Conservation Corp. has been awarded a $4,600 grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
“Glen Foerd Conservation Corporation provides a beautiful place for the public to recreate and learn about art and conservation,” Driscoll said. “Funding that helps places like Glen Foerd, which aim to serve the public, preserve history and support the arts and conservation, is invaluable.”
The grant awards provide general operating support.
To be considered for a grant award, an eligible museum must have had an annual operating budget exceeding $100,000, excluding capital and in-kind services, and at least one full-time professional staff person. ••
Free tax prep help available
The Campaign for Working Families is offering free tax preparation sites at 7300 Bustleton Ave. (in the former Payless).
The site is open Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ••
