City Councilman Brian O’Neill announced the addition of three locations in the 10th Councilmanic District to the list of city food distribution sites.
Families can now pick up free food for their household at the following locations:
• Pelbano Recreation Center, 8101 Bustleton Ave.
• Mitzvah Food Program (KleinLife), 10100 Jamison Ave.
• Palmer Recreation Center, 3035 Comly Road
Sites are open Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
Residents can pick up one box per household; each box is meant to last one household for five days.
There are no eligibility requirements, and the program is open to all residents. The food sites are supported by the City, Share Food Program and Philabundance.
This is in addition to the PCA “grab and go” lunch program for senior citizens and the student meal sites currently in operation.
For questions about any of the city’s free food programs, or any other issue, contact O’Neill’s office by phone (215-686-3422), email ([email protected]) or through social media (Facebook and Twitter).
For phone calls, leave a voicemail and your call will be returned within one business day. ••
