FOP5 extends contract by one year

The contract extension includes a 2.5% raise effective May 1.

The Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 Board approved a one-year contract extension for members of the lodge, including police officers, retirees and employees of the Sheriff’s Department and Register of Wills.

Police officers will receive a 2.5 percent raise effective May 1, and a $750 bonus on July 1. The contract also stipulates the city will direct $4.5 million to the retirees’ fund on July 1.

“We would like to thank Mayor Kenney and his staff for their patience and diligence in agreeing to a fair and responsible contract extension during these current times,” said FOP5 president John McNesby.

“Please continue to support our police officers, first responders and our doctors and nurses on the front lines fighting this pandemic,” he said.
