The Philadelphia Police Department has identified the victim in a fatal accident last week as James Trinacria, 57, of the 100 block of Ridgefield Road.
According to police, at about 8:26 p.m. on May 5, a 2019 Dodge Challenger was traveling northbound on the 11000 block of Knights Road when it struck Trinacria, who was crossing at Dorchester Road.
The 29-year-old male operator of the Challenger remained at the scene.
Trinacria suffered severe injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene by Fire Medic 20 at 8:45 p.m. ••
