Two young people died following a two-car crash on June 1 on Grant Avenue, just west of Bustleton Avenue.
The police department said the accident took place at about 10:35 p.m.
Police said a 2019 Acura, operated by a 27-year-old man, was driving east on Grant Avenue when a 2007 Honda, traveling west on Grant at a high rate of speed, went out of control and crossed the eastbound lanes.
The Acura hit the Honda in the rear passenger side quarter panel, police said.
The driver of the Acura was not injured.
There were five people in the Honda. The driver and three rear passengers were all ejected.
One of those rear passengers, Mike Jacoby, died on June 4. Jacoby was set to graduate from Northeast High and play football at Millersville.
Another rear passenger, Sebastian Plummer, died of a brain injury on June 6 at Abington Hospital, three days after his 19th birthday.
There are GoFundMe pages for both Jacoby and Plummer.
The other rear passenger was released from the hospital on June 7.
The driver was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition. The front-seat passenger was not seriously injured. ••
