Funeral arrangements set for 2 teens killed in Grant Avenue crash

Funeral plans have been finalized for two young people who died following a two-car crash on Grant Avenue, just west of Bustleton Avenue.

Sebastian Plummer and Mike Jacoby were rear passengers in a westbound car that police said was speeding when it went out of control and crossed into the eastbound lanes, where it was hit by another vehicle.

Plummer’s viewing is set for Friday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wackerman Funeral Home, 8060 Verree Road. A private funeral service will be held for the family. He was the son of Karen L. Bush and Gerald Plummer and grandson of Barbara Lento and Renee Plummer. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his girlfriend, Kira Wible. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Gift of Life Donor Program 401 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19123.

Jacoby’s viewing will be Sunday, June 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wackerman. His funeral Mass will be Monday, June 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn St. The church capacity will be about 260 people. Jacoby was the son of Lauren Diver Jacoby and Charles Jacoby and brother of Gina, Kaitlin and Sophia Jacoby. He is also survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and football teammates. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Daniel Sweeney Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 24600, Philadelphia, PA 19111. ••
