A 6-year-old boy was fatally shot in the chest Sunday in Holmesburg.
The incident happened today around 12:45 p.m. on the 4600 block of Kendrick Street. A family member took the boy to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital with a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest. He was declared dead at 1:36 p.m.
Authorities have not reported an arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
