Food giveaways continue in Lawncrest

Elected officials, civic leaders and business owners continue to distribute boxes of food every Thursday morning in the St. William Catholic Church/MaST Charter School parking lot, 6200 Rising Sun Ave.

The giveaway debuted on May 21. Last week, 500 boxes of fresh vegetables and 160 gallons of milk were handed out. The giveaway will continue on Thursday, July 9, at 10 a.m.

Among those attending last week’s giveaway were City Controller Rebecca Rhynhart, state Rep. Jared Solomon, car dealer Gary Barbera, 2nd Police District crime prevention officer Maureen Ciamaichelo and Lawncrest Community Association president Bill Dolbow and other members of the LCA. ••
